:unsure:Ĭan someone explain what to do, step by step for someone who doesn't know a thing about this command line stuff. All the searches I have done have turned up answers that were leaving out pieces of information that is probably pretty basic, but I don't have a clue. I'm guessing the solution is easy but I can't figure it out. quality in some games when connected to TVs with resolutions of 2K or lower.
I've tried putting -width 1680x1050 -bpp 32 in the startup options for the Steam game's properties, that doesn't work. Change this only when you use an HDMI device that does not send RGB range. I've tried putting C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\hexen 2\glh2.exe -width 1680x1050 -bpp in the run prompt and that just opens the app normally. I've tried just glh2.exe -width 1680x1050 -bpp 32 in the command line with no success So, I've tried putting C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\hexen 2\glh2.exe -width 1680x1050 -bpp 32 into the command line and that doesn't work.
In the options it says Video modes must be set in the command line with -width and -bpp Will this not work because they are steam games? Some of the games in question are Hexen 2, Quake Mission packs 1 and 2, etc. I can't figure out how to get this to work. What else can I do? I’m using Lenovo Legion Y720 laptop with GTX 1600 and Windows really funny, is that when I run the game through Nvidia Experience, I set the “optimization” to a different resolution and it says that “game is optimized”.Sorry, I'm such a newb when it comes to this stuff, but I have apps downloaded from steam that require you to change the resolution in the command line. I’m really out of ideas by now, I contacted Epic Games support thinking it’s launcher’s fault, but they were clueless and sent me here. Then I have to go in and revert the usersettings change the game made without permission. plus i cant even read what people are saying in chat. Its rather aggravating, as it moves my addons positions offscreen sometimes.
